Survivor Tocantins - Dan's Pre-Show thoughts

Brief Bio about myself:
Hello, I am Dan Carneal, a new blogger for WOBB, and as honored I am to be here, I’m glad to be around here. So, I’ve been watching Survivor and it’s first season since age eight, and Big Brother U.S. since age season two. I also watch The Amazing Race, and have followed up with that since season 4. I saw seasons 1-3 on GSN years back. Other than Reality Television, I enjoy writing, music, and the internet.

Survivor: Tocantins: The Cast and The twist
I am really hoping that Spencer goes far, simply because I want them to continue to call for people aged 18-20 for future seasons. Anyways, this season features sixteen players, my favorite number for a Survivor cast. Unprecedented cast members include a multi-millionaire, a 19 year old, someone who’s all about the strongest surviving, and more interesting characters. Go easy on me, as this is my very first blog here, and I’m not totally the best as pre-show predictions.

I really believe this “one from each tribe is left behind” doesn’t mean two will leave on the first day. The purpose of Survivor is to be without getting outwitted and outplayed, not out screwed. Why would they take two people off of the show on Day one when there’s sixteen players? Honestly, I see Exile Island in the future.

Benjamin Wade - He’s the first survivor I’ve ever seen who wants the top four to be the four strongest. I hope he’s not sexist and recognizes women’s strength. If this strategy worked, then this season will be predictable at first, then really completive at the end.

Brendan Synnott - A multi-millionaire for Survivor is something I don’t mind. However, I personally believe he’ll pull a Gary on us and keep it as a secret. By the merge, he may tell a close ally or two, as long as he’s careful.

Candace Smith - Candace, I have high hopes for, and is a potential favorite of mine. Why? I don’t know. I could see her as being one of the stronger females and believe she’s smart.

Carolina Eastwood - Aw, I do not discriminate on people who fit a “mactor” stereotype, but she looks like she’ll be an early boot. To me, she reminds me of Cecelia/Paloma. I can see myself liking her, and wish her all the best, though.

Debra Beebee - I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t survive. She seems like the type that could be nothing special to the show. If I remember correctly, she actually told people she went to rehab instead of telling them about being on Survivor? Funny, but I’d never do that.

Erinn Lobdell - She looks boring for some reason, I don’t know why. Not much else I have to say.

Jerry Sims - I could see him as a star of this season. He seems strong, and I think him being a laid-back character would work for him.

Joe Dowdel - I could see him winning, without flying under the radar, and being a decent player, but he kind of reminds me of BB8 Zach.

James “JT” Thomas - I could see him being a remember able character, simply because reading about him. However, he seems arrogant, and I could see that as a weakness?

Sandy Burgin - She seems like she won’t be able to fit in with the younger Survivors at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if she became the next Gillian, or Patricia.

Sierra Reed - I doubt she knows one a fact about Survival, and probably has a lot to learn, in such a short mater of time. That’s her weakness, and deferentially the mactor I won’t see in the merge. She actually reminds me of Morgan.

Spencer Duhn - Like I said, I want him to go far, simply he’s probably representing people 18-20. He’s probably the biggest fan out of the bunch, and that’s always a plus. For his age, he actually seems mature and independent.

Stephan Fishbach - Honestly, I forgot he was even in the cast,, so I really don’t know what to say. I believe he’ll fly under the radar, but coming from Yale, he may just get out from under the radar.

Sydney Wheeler - I can personally see her as an independent person. She’ll probably be the type who watches her back, and will vow to trust no one.

Tamara “Taj” Johnson-George - Honestly, I can see her as a potential early boot. She just doesn’t seem she’ll watch her back. I can see her as the type to cause conflict. I really hope she proved me wrong and can stay.

Tyson Apostol - I really don’t know what to say, however, in his bio, saying people describe him as a jerk, kind of is not a good thing. In Survivor, edit can make him life of the party, so we’ll see.

Predictions:
Spoiler free, Final Four predictions: Jerry, Spencer, Candace, Benjamin
Winner Prediction: Candace
