I'm A Celebrity 9 UK - Stuart wins immunity

Friday's show started off with a segment showing how the two camps are adjusting to the split.

In Exile Camp they deal with their hunger by catching, killing, cooking and eating a rat they found in camp. They all agree it tasted nice and had a chicken like taste to it.

The next part of the highlights shows Katie's latest bush tucker trial - Hell Holes Extreme. She has to climb up a rock-face and put her arm into holes and search for stars. As well as stars are other creatures like beetles, spiders, rats, snakes etc. She manages to get 9 out of 12 stars. Which means 6 meals for base camp and 3 meals for exile camp.

After the trial we are shown a few clips of how Joe is starting to annoy everyone. Joe has lived in Australia for a number of years and thinks he knows everything there is to know about the Aussie jungle.

We then move onto the first Bush Battle. In the Bush Battles, the contestants in Exile Camp will compete. The winner will get immunity from the first eviction and will move to Base Camp.

This Bush Battle has then covering holes in a tube. If they move their figures the holes will be exposed and the liquid in the tube will escape. The last one with liquid in the tube will be the winner. George plays mind games with the others and convinces them that after the count of 3 they should all let go and quit the game. On the count of 3 Lucy and Sam let go, but George doesn't and finds it amusing how easily they were tricked into quitting. Eventually Stuart wins the battle and is immune from the first elimination.

After the bush battle we see base camp welcoming Stuart and in the evening Joe moans about the way Sabrina cooked dinner. It ends up with Joe being nasty to Sabrina and making Justin cry!

At the end of the show we find out who the public voted for to do the next Bush tucker trial, which is called Vile Vending. Katie gets the most votes once again, and she will have to do the trial with the highest voted member of Exile Camp. Lucy and Kim were the top 2 with Kim getting the most votes and doing the trial. We will see Katie and Kim in Vile Vending during Saturday's show.

That's it for now. I'll review Saturday and Sundays shows on Monday.

Survivor Samoa: Mick won Immunity & Laura voted off (5-5 tie)

So, in Survivor it started with some tension of Russell playing the Idol last night and Kelly getting booted. Now, it seems that idol is going to be the dominating thing that gets people across. I just wish they had Exile Island, that's better than everyone getting to look for an idol. OK, so During the reward challenge, they all had to carry one person along a rope structure to get flags. Five of them won, and they got to go via plane to another neighboring island and have lunch by a waterfall. They also received a video of where the next idol is.

At Camp, they all scramble around to find the idol, and behold, with no surprises, Russell found another idol, making this his third idol. Shambo automatically talks about not standing Laura, and hoping Laura loses immunity so she could vote for her. At the Immunity challenge, the survivors had to break a tile with a rock. If they hit a tile, they'd get to move on to throw a spear at a target board. Only John, Monica, Bret, and Mick got that opportunity. In the second half, Brett got two close hits, but Mick was closer, and he won.

Before Tribal Council, Shambo is telling her own Galu tribe mates she will be voting for Laura, so the vote was looking to be 5-5, as of then. Then, Monica tries to develop a plan to get the Foa-Foa tribe members to vote for John, trying to force a 5-4-1 vote. However, John heard of this plan, and disapproved of it, making him consider voting for Laura. At tribal council, the vote came out, and it was a 5-5 tie. Five votes went to Laura and Natalie. Jeff Probst automatically states in the event of another tie, everyone except Mick, Laura, and Natalie would draw rocks, in which the colored rock person takes the blame. At the second vote, John ended up switching sides and voted for Laura, and Laura was voted off.

I'm not Happy with Laura gone, simple because she was the rock to Galu, and John had to mess that up. I hope that John stands no chance of winning this game. It's also painful to watch Laura lose to Shambo, who's so stupid. I mean, she's playing this game personal. She has sucked so much this game, simply because he probably doesn't take the time to play with her tribe. Galu had several opportunities to have all of them still there, but they fall apart. John may have sided with Foa-Foa & Shambo, but I don't see him staying with Foa-Foa, and he's probably going to try to use Shambo as a good ally, and try to play Russell, have Russell think he's staying with him, then boot Russell, downing Foa-Foa.

I really hope the Foa-Foa people stay together, and I hope to see Shambo & John make an attempt to go back to Galu, but see Foa-Foa burn them. Foa-foa has stuck together since the merge (3 rounds straight) and Galu has blindsided their own players (3 rounds straight). I want Foa-Foa to pull through. They got the best of Shambo, and John, now it's time for Shambo and John to pay their own mistakes for turning on Galu. Foa-Foa is loyal to Foa-Foa, they are just getting on John and Shambo easily. Also, Monica had a price to pay, simple because she tried to get four votes to John, in which I would've never tried to put someone on my own tribe in a situation like that, because you can never do that.

Love: Mick, Natalie
Like: Jaison, Brett
Neutral: Russell, Dave
Meh: Monica
Dislike: John, Shambo

BB 5 Finland: wedding

Hola my fellas. :)

So, this Saturday a couple, actually two couples is going to get married in the BB house. One of the couple is just two ordinary people in love Katja and Mikael. They were chosen from over 400 couples.
Then, the other couple is Antti and Henna, these two was BB-housemates last year and OMG! they are just looking for publicity. Dont know if their love is real, it might be, but i just think its kind of stupid. They are totaly going to steel the show.
I doubt that the other couple wants to share their wedding day with some wanna be celebs.
that sucks.
but, im happy for Katja and Mikael anyway.

so, thats the big news. :)

BB 5 Finland: "the past" part 4

Hello my friends.

Sorry for the poor updating. :( but now, i'm here.

soo, yet again, here we go. :D

Week 10: On monday morning the slums and paradise had a blindfolded football competition. after a few painfull hours the paradise won (not important!). Big Brother announced that the slums time had come and now everyone would live together. Hurraayy. the housemates was really happy, some cried, some just laughed and jumped around.
To celebrate the "reunion" a band called The Virtanen Band played for the housemates.
Big Brother alowed intrigueting, i meen, now everyone were alowed to talk about the voting and stuff. :)
As for the weeks task, the housemates got to play on the play station 3 a game called Uncharted 2 and they had to solve some "problems" and know the answers to some questions. when all the problems were solved they got a surprice jungle party as a price.
For the HH competition everyone had to play the Uncharted 2 game and the one who would get the best score (??) would win. Esa A won for the first time.
On thursday morning Kätlin left the house, she was on her way to the Philippines.
Up for that weeks elemination was Antti, Iida, Toni and Stephania. On Sunday, Iida left the house.
Cathy arrived to the BBF house that night. hurray.

Week 11: First of all, directly on monday, Dana and Saranna got to know that they would be up for elemination this week becouse they had been breaking the rules by not wearing the microfones.
All the housemates were so exited that Cathy had arrived the house. And who wouldnt be, she is lovely person. For the weeks task the finnish housemates had to introduce Cathy to the Finnish culture. She got to try the Sauna, party whit the finns, see her first snow and see Santa Claus (i doubt that he was the real one). Cathy had to learn a finnish song and then sing it together with her housemates, she also got to introduce the finnish housemates to the philippens food culture. Cathy got to talk with Kätlin over the internet. PBB told Cathy that she would have to spend a hole month at the BBF, this wasnt tru.
The finnish housemates had to sing a song to Cathy, who then would have to choose a HH. She chose Sami.
On Friday Cathy got to know that she would have to leave the house, when she told that she was leaving everyone was crying and really sad. :(
On the friday-saturday night Kätlin came back to the BBF house.
Up for the elemination was Saranna, Dana, Stephania, Antti and Esa A. On Sunday, yet again, one of the girls, Saranna, had to leave the house.

Week 12: the housemates got to spend a healty week at the Big Brother house, no smoking, no alchol and no sweets.
as the week want by the housemates got to expirience different kinds of exericses. I think everyone lost at least a couple of kilos that week.
For that weeks HH competition the housemates had to guess how long it would take to burn different kinds of foods. Sampo won the HH.
Up for the elemination was Sami, Kätlin, Esa A, Toni and Stephania. Sami left the house that Sunday.
One of the old housemates, Tuija, returned to the house, she are on a secret mission there. she has to convince everyone that she is the next weeks HH, shes automaticly in the finale and she can take someone with her. haha.
This week was probably one of the most boring ones. arggh.

Soo, now i think we only have a couple weeks left. :(

I'm A Celebrity... 9 UK - Camilla quits, Joe arrives

Episode 4 - Wednesday 20th November

Every year there is a live bushtucker trial, and this years will be hold in today's episode. As usual the public vote for who they want to do it, and as usual they will probably vote for the same person they have voted for all week.

More on that later, firstly, the show starts off with a segment about Kim's very loud snoring. Well she's loud in every other aspect, there was no reason to think that her snoring would be any different.

The next part of the episode is highlights of Katie's bushtucker trial, Celebrity In A Bottle. She had to lie down inside a giant glass bottle and correctly answer six questions about Australia. In the bottle with her were 2 buckets of meal worms, 60,000 cockroaches and 10,000 crickets. She got 3 questions correct which meant she won 6 meals out of 12 for camp.

The next segment featured Kim going on at Katie about how much Katie loved publicity (stating the obvious there), then Stuart and Sabrina did the celebrity chest and showed how rubbish they are at maths.

Then we got to the first celebrity to exit the camp this year. Camilla decided that she would walk because she was feeling too weak to continue. No-one seemed to try and persuade her to stay (not even the producers) and so she left the show almost immediately. Camilla's departure isn't much of a blow - in fact she had been so much in the background that had they have not shown her departure it could have been days before I noticed she was missing.

The next segment dealt with the arrival of Camilla's replacement. His name is Joe Bugner and he is a retired former heavyweight world boxing champion.

The final 40 minutes of the show are taken up with the live trial. Joe was immune from the vote as a new contestant. The hosts read the results and guess what.... yes, the public have voted that Katie will do the trial (Justin again received the second highest number of votes).

Now the first year that this voting pattern happened it was really funny to see the same person being picked on by the public day after day. But now it's got to the point where it is just boring. I want to see some of the others doing the trials.

Anyway, we get to see Katie being covered in goo and insects yet again.

The trial is split into different parts and takes the form of a school classroom theme.

1) She has to put her face in green goo.
2) She has to put her face in a tray full of meal worms (the point of the goo part was so that the meal worms now stick to her face)
3) Collect 3 words from a sphere which was full of snakes
4) Get into a pool of baby crocodiles (that had their mouths tied closed)
5) Drink a beetle juice shake
6) Pour liquid from a test test into a container whilst wearing gloves filled with green ants
7) Get into a pool of eels and solve a maths equation
8) Put on a coat which is filled with cockroaches

She did well at the trial and scored 9 out of 12, meaning 9 meals for camp. The ones she failed on were parts 5 and 7, she also got 1 out of 2 in part 6.

Episode 5 - Thursday 21st November
I guess the producers realised that the show was getting rather boring - no major fights or tension and no major talking points. So today they decided to split the camp into two and turn it into a bit like Survivor.

Before that we were shown clips of Joe's first morning in camp, then a repeat of yesterdays live trial. Then were were treated to a conversation from Kim telling Justin to have his moles removed from his face. After that it moved onto Katie and her personal life and then how horny Gino is in camp.

Finally we get onto the camp split. Two team captains are chosen at random and they are Colin and Lucy. They then have to choose who they want on their team and the split is

Colin's Team - Colin, Justin, Katie, Sabrina, Jimmy and Joe
Lucy's Team - Lucy, Gino, Stuart, George, Sam and Kim

Next comes the immunity battle. The winning team will be immune from the first eviction and will live in base camp. The losing team won't have immunity and will live in Exile, which will be even more of a dump than base camp was.

The challenge is a classic survivor challenge. Each contestant holds a pole and has to keep a button pressed. They last one remaining will win immunity from their team.

Gino is out first, followed by Justin. In the end it is Sabrina and Stuart. After over 2 hours Stuart suffers from severe cramp and Sabrina is the winner. Sabrina, Colin, Justin, Katie, Jimmy and Joe are immune from the first elimination. The other team will get chances to win individual immunity in the coming days.

The episode ends with the results of the next Bushtucker trial. It's called Hell Holes Extreme and George and Kim are immune on medical grounds again. Gino and Katie get the most votes and yes, you've guessed it, Katie got the highest votes and will do the trial. We'll see that on Friday's episode.

Expeditie Robinson 2009 Netherlands/Belgium: Episode 12

Blog post by Arthur

Episode 12

Jeroen and Kurt take part in a battle to stay in the show. It's the toughest and longest battle so far, with the tower of cubes almost reaching the length of the two men. At the end, it's Kurt who loses the game by bad luck: a wind blows the tower over. Jeroen wins and gets to stay in the game. Meanwhile, Rita is having major trouble with the lack of food. She has lost a lot of weight (she is so thin that it is almost scary to look at) but does not want to leave the game. She is so close to the finals that she really wants to stay. She survives by trying not to think about food, although that is difficult because everybody is always talking about food.

When Jeroen arrives back at camp, Marina is very disappointed. Not only because a strong player returned but also because the other candidates pretend to be happy to see him. According to Marina they are hypocrites: first they vote him off and not they pretend to be happy to see him. Jeroen asks the other candidates to not vote for him at the next tribal council because he has taken part in two tribals already. Esmeralda is not impressed by this and still wants to vote for him, but Marcel is open for suggestions. He knows that Dennis and Esmeralda are strong people as well and asks Jeoren if he would be interested in voring for them. Even though Jeroen has always said that he is not interested in the tactical game, he realizes that he will not win if he does not play the game. Later, Marcel talks with Esmeralda and tries to get her to turn on her best friend, Dennis. He tells her that he would never vote for her and he hopes that she will do the same.

At the immunity challenge, the candidates have to go through an obstacle course. At the end of the course are four meals and one mystery price. The fastest person gets to choose their price, followed by the second fastest and so on. Jeroen is the fastest and picks the mystery price. Marcel is second and picks an hamburger with french fries. Esmeralda is third and picks the pizza. Dennis is fourth and goes for the chocolate and Rita is last and wins a sandwich with cheese. Once everybody has eaten, Jeroen receives the mystery price. He hopes that this is a challenge, but it turns out to be an extra vote. He is not happy with this, he says one vote for or less won't make a difference. After this, the candidates take part in the immunity challenge. For this, the candidates have to guess how much time they took to go through the challenge. At tribal council it will be revealed who was closest to their true time and wins the challenge.

After the challenge, the candidates compare their times. Marcel finds out that he is way off and will probably not win the immunity. He is very disappointed abuot this. Marina is also very disappointed because the other candidates got to eat and she had to go without again (as guaranteed finalist she cannot take part in the challenges). Later there is a twist: the candidates can give up the individual immunity in exchange for fruit. All but one candidate (Jeroen) vote in favor of this, but the other candidates convince him to also give up his chance for immunity. Everybody can eat some fruit, but Jeroen says he is sure that he will get the most votes at tribal council again and complains some more about this.

Right before the candidates go to tribal council, Marcel talks with Jeroen and tries to convince him to vote for Dennis and Esmerlada. He says he will get Marina to go with them so they can eliminate Dennis or Esmeralda. At tribal council, the hosts show who would have won individual immunity if the candidates had not gone for the food. This turns out to be Esmeralda, who was five seconds off. After this, the candidates vote and these are revealed. It turns out that Marcel, Rita and Jeroen have two votes and that Dennis has three and Esmeralda four. Dennis & Esmeralda will battle eachother in the next challenge.

So in details the voting:
Dennis = Marcel & Rita
Esmeralda = Jeroen & Rita
Jeroen = Dennis & Esmeralda & Esmeralda
Marcel = Dennis & Esmeralda
Marina = Dennis & Esmeralda
Rita = Jeroen & Marcel

American Idol 9 will launch January, 2010

American Idol will be the seventh American series I have blogged. I started watching American Idol in Season five, but it didn't end very well. I wanted to watch it again in 2008, but Big Brother's winter season came on almost at the same time. I watched season eight, in which they made a few changes to evolve the show. It seems to be ironic that two of the US's biggest shows (Idol & Survivor), were failures in the UK, whereas in the UK, their successes are Big Brother (formerly) & I'm A Celebrity, and here they are just mostly looked at as Summer fillers.

In Season eight, they gave us three new elements to the show, and now only one of them has been confirmed for returning. The first new addition was a fourth judge, that being Kara DioGuardi. She made a good edition to the show, simply because she meant business and was a fair judge, completing the objectives of her as a judge. Next, they went from a top 24 to a top 36, in which they brought back a wild card episode, and gave us a top 13, with 13 finalists.

In Season eight, they had some memorable people, including the finalists who made the final four, Alison Irahita, Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert, & Kris Allen. They were a good final four, and the ones who stood with the most potential, and they were a good final four. Also, I easily remember the disappointments, Katrina Darrell, aka Bikini Girl, who showed up to her audition in her bikini. She was very hot, except, most AI voters are women, who aren't into appeal of another woman. Also, I was very appalled over Nick Mitchell, aka Norman Gentle, who was horrifying as he got to perform.

They have also given us some more things to change the show with. First off, Paula Abdul, the judge since season one, will not be in the next season. During the auditions, the auditioned will be face to face with a special judge, one for each city hosting an audition. Lastly, after the auditions we will be given the fourth official judge, Ellen DeGeneres, whom is actually a talk show presenter, and has nothing to do with the music industry. I hope she has logic opinions, and doesn't does the job.

I have some potential for AI9, and I hope it's good. I look forward to the next season, how about you all?

I'm A Celebrity...GMOOH 9 UK - Katie arrives

Episode 2 (Monday 16th November)
It's day 4 in the jungle and we have a segment about Camilla not being able to sleep.

Then it moves onto Kim's bushtucker trial. It's called Dreaded Descent and she is locked in a perspex box and lowered underwater. She has to collect stars amongst the creatures (yabbis, cockroaches etc) that are dropped in the box a regular intervals over 10 minutes. As I expected she coped with it very well and managed to collect all 11 stars.

The rest of the show is taken up with Katie Price entering. Katie was a contestant on the show 6 years ago. She had to do a special trial before she entered which involved her collecting balls in water and putting them in a basket. She collected 7 balls and that meant 7 treats for camp (like coffee, sugar, chocolate etc.) However, in order for her to get the treats she had to agree that all the contestants luxury items be taken away from them. She agreed to this.

I guess the producers were hoping that having their luxury items removed would create tension but actually they just handed them over and nothing more was said about it.

Katie joined the others and everyone continued to get along nicely.

The public vote for the next trial was predictable. The trial is called Deathly Burrows and the public voted for Katie to do it. That wasn't surprising given that the whole episode had centred on her so she was the only one in the publics minds. We will see the trial tomorrow.

Episode 3 (Tuesday 17th November)
The first segment of clips features George going on about how great the British people are and about how everyone is pulling together and getting on well. Hopefully he will change his opinion of the British in a few days or we are in for a boring 3 weeks.

Next we are shown Katie's trial - Deathly Burrows - she has to crawl through underground tunnels and burrow through walls to find stars. She managed to get 4 stars before they poured water into the tunnels and she shouted for the trial to stop. She seemed to be having a minor panic attack as she was being pulled out. Her reaction to the trial will ensure that the public chooses her again every day now as that is how the public always vote for the trials, choosing the same person every day. So far there is no hate figure in the camp, until one emerges Katie will just get picked on by the public.

The rest of the show was pretty dull, we had segments about breasts, farting, cooking and Katie's hellish 2009, also we were shown Jimmy and Lucy getting the celebrity chest.

The next trial is called Celebrity In A Bottle and surprise surprise, the public voted for Katie to do it. Interestingly, the person that has received the second highest number of votes all 3 times has been Justin. I'm not entirely sure why the public have taken a dislike to him.

We will see Katie's trial as well as a live trial in an extended episode on Wednesday.

TARUS15 - Meghan/Cheyne take 1st & Gary/Matt are eliminated.

TAR is winding down, faster than Survivor, because that still has ten left to deal with where here in TAR, we’re down to four teams. The teams were headed to Estonia, where they had to take a ferry which didn’t leave until well over 12 hours everyone left the pit stop, bunching everyone up. In Estonia, they had to make their way to a “secret” Merchant Brotherhood house where in this roadblock, one person had to use a candle, search for a marked room, with a number and receive a clue. The clue had nothing visible written on it, so they had to use the candle in order to read the clue. Then in Pikk Hermann Tower Garden, teams received their detour: sling (slingshot veggies at a moose sign to release their clue) or serve (play volleyball in a buddy bog and score five points). A wooden tower on the bog land was the pit stop.

Meghan/Cheyne - Meghan/Cheyne were pretty much in first in this leg, they were the first to the Merchant place, and Cheyne finished the roadblock first. They got extremely fortunate to breeze through the detour, choosing the volleyball, since Meghan is a volleyball player. Before any of the teams arrived to the detour set, Meghan/Cheyne arrived to the pit stop, taking first place for the fourth time. It seems things are almost going their way when it comes to getting first place. They got their second first place through the Fast Forward, which ultimately helped them get a back-to-back first place, since the Dubai legs weren’t bunching up, and they easily take first this time over a sport she plays. Whenever they are more stressed out, and freaking out more, they don’t seem to carry first place, though.

Sam/Dan - Sam/Dan first started racing very closely by Meghan/Cheyne, but at the roadblock, Sam didn’t seem to get the invisible clue first. After finishing, and looking for another taxi, they ended up sharing a bus type taxi to the detour where they couldn’t find the marked pathway. They ended up beating Brian/Ericka out on the volleyball court and during the detour, faced off with the Globetrotters. They simple took second place, just seconds behind then, the Globetrotters, they beat out.

Flight Time/Big Easy - During their time, they were simply just only ahead of Gary/Matt, as one of them ended up using a crayon to scribble their clue, not knowing they needed to hold it up to the candle. During the detour, they followed Sam/Dan & Brian/Ericka in a mater to find the marked pathway to the detour set. They squared off with Sam/Dan in a fight to the pit stop, as one of the Globetrotters supposedly tripped Sam or Dan. I honestly didn’t see the globetrotter literally trip them, because I’m pretty sure that physical violence on this race would lead to disqualification or a major penalty. The Globetrotters easily take third place.

Brian/Ericka - They started off, ok, as Ericka was the second person to finish the roadblock. What put them behind was not being able to find the marked pathway, as the same for Sam/Dan & Flight Time/Big Easy. They couldn’t outrun the Globetrotters or Sam/Dan to the muddy volleyball court, so they opted to do the sling detour. They finally finished the detour and moved into the pit stop at fourth place. If only they had another volleyball net, they could’ve maybe placed a bit higher, but oh well, they’re still there.

Gary/Matt - They started off the race with a speed bump, which was to spend time in a sauna on a bus. Now how epically creatively sweet is that!?!? Matt struggled to find a candelabra, putting them furthered behind. Then, Gary & Matt struggled to find the clue box at the Tower Garden, putting them even further back. They chose to do the sling detour, and at the pit stop, they were told by Phil they are in last place and have been eliminated. They had a teary goodbye, and really talked about their appreciation of the race, and just being together.

During this race, we can now clearly see there’s a rivalry between Flight Time/Big Easy & Sam/Dan. I would like to say that I’m neutral on this feud, as it appears that both of these teams have intimidated each other-and others. For instance, the Globetrotters have been seen psyching Mika out and aggressively behaving around Sam/Dan and Sam/Dan are saying stuff such as “Did Your fans help you get here!?” and stealing Brian/Ericka’s taxi, we’re supposed to see next episode. I think their rivalry is pointless. I mean, can’t they just be glad they have something to fight for, and can’t they just enjoy the race. I would give my clothes on my back, strip down naked then rub myself with maple syrup and roll in maple leaves (with paparazzi, of course) just to travel & see inches of the world, and not just on a TV screen or Google images, I know I would. What I’m saying, at this point of the race, is the experience of traveling the world with someone who love is clearly worth more than $1,000,000.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! 9 UK

The 9th season of I'm A Celebrity got underway in the UK last night. Whilst Big Brother UK has been going downhill in recent years, I'm A Celebrity has been getting better and better. Overnight ratings show that yesterdays launch show got over 9 million viewers which is very high.

The launch show followed the familiar format that we have seen in recent years. We were first introduced to the celebrities. I have to say that I had not heard of most of them, which is unusual for me as I am usually familiar with most IAC contestants. Perhaps I am spending too much time watching reality shows and not much time watching soaps or cheap daytime cooking / DIY shows.

Before the celebrities started on their journey into camp, they had to choose 2 (a male and a female) to do the first bushtucker trial. Sam and Gino were chosen and they had to swin to an island where they would spend the night before doing their trial the next day.

The other 9 celebs were split into groups. Sabrina, Lucie and Colin entered camp by doing the skyjump. Camilla, Jimmy, Stuart and Justin went on horseback. Finally the 2 oldies Kim (67) and George (70) walked into camp.

The following day, Sam and Gino did their bushtucker trial. The first part invloved them putting their hands in containers filled with things like crabs and octopus to find stars. For the second part they had to put a live water spider in their mouths for 30 seconds. The 3rd part was putting their heads into yabbis and beach worms to grab a star. And for the final part Sam had to search through a cabin containing eels and crabs to find 2 stars (which she failed to find) and Gino had to where a helmit containing spiders for 90 seconds (which he achieved).

At the end of the trial they had 9 out of 11 stars which meant there would be 9 meals and 9 beds in camp. It wasn't exactly a memorable trial, most of the elements we had seen before and neither of the celebs freaked out much over what they had to do.

The rest of the launch show was taken up with the celebrities first night in camp. They are all getting on well for the moment, although that is pretty standard, it usually takes a couple of days before the sparks start flying.

Also, the public voted for who they wanted to do the next bushtucker trial which was called "Dreaded Descent". The one with the most votes was Kim, and we will see her doing the trial on Monday's show. She isn't the person I would have chosen as I think the best people doing the trials are the ones that will be useless at them and I think Kim will cope well with the trials. She is used to dirt, grime and creepy crawlies from her job so I doubt the trial will phase her. But she is the loudest and most outspoken contestant at the moment and they are always the ones that the public choose for the trials.

At the end of the show the hosts revealed the "big surprise" that we had been promised at the start. The may have hoped it would be a big surprise but as it has been front page on the national newspapers for the last week, it was not a surprise for us and will not be one for any of the contestants. The "surprise" was that Katie Price (aka Jordan) would be entering as the 12th contestant. For those of you who don't know, she was a contestant back in season 3 and her romance with fellow contestant Peter Andre was probably the main talking point throughout that years show. She is now going back into the jungle and I'm sure the producers will be hoping that she stirs things up a lot - we shall see.

I thought the launch show was OK. I'd rate it as average so far. Nothing too memorable happened but it wasn't boring. I won't give my opinions on each of the contestants at this stage as a lot of them were mainly in the background and I don't really have much of an opinion at the moment.

So that's the end of my review of the launch show. If you want to continue with the blog then drop me an e-mail and I would be happy to let you.

Expeditie Robinson 2009 Netherlands/Belgium: Episode 11

Blog Post by Arthur

Episode 11

The elimination battle, of putting cubes on top of eachother, is won by Rita. Marjolein is not able to place the seventh cube on the sixth, which makes the tower collapse. She has to go, something she regrets but she is also happy with the things she achieved. When Rita arrives back at camp, she is welcomed greatly by the other candidates who are much happier to see her than they would be to see Marjolein.

Back at camp, Marina attacks Jeroen because Jeroen said at the last tribal council that he thinks he is received votes because the other candidates think he is too strong and the other candidates would rather go to the end with their friends than with someone strong. Marina says she didn't vote for Jeroen because he is strong and says he's arrogant to say that he is the strongest. Nobody backs Jeroen up, which upsets him. Later he notices that his old friend Kurt spends more time with Marina and Marcel. He thinks he is losing all his friends because of tactical reasons, people don't want to be around someone who receives many votes. Meanwhile, Kurt, Marina and Marcel discuss the voting and say they want Jeroen and Dennis to receive the most votes at the next tribal council. Jeroen, because they don't like him, and Dennis, because he is playing too many sides.

For the immunity challenge, the candidates get a certain number of balls in a "tube". The challenge is to grab one ball from your own tube, climb a construction and put the ball in someone else's tube. When someone has twenty balls in their tube, they are eliminated and the person with the most balls after fifteen minutes is eliminated as well. This continues until one person is left. At the beginning of the challenge, Esmeralda, Dennis, Rita and Jeroen take out Kurt. The next one out is Jeroen. A while later, the fifteen minutes are up and because Marcel & Rita are tied for number of balls, both are elimnated. Esmeralda and Dennis continue to fight, but fifteen minutes later it is obvious that Esmeralda has more balls so she is eliminated. Dennis wins the challenge. He also wins an extra price: he gets to meet someone's loved one. At the previous tribal council, one name was drawn and the loved one of that person is the one Dennis will meet. He obviously hopes that this will be his boyfriend, but it turns out to be the wife of Kurt. Dennis and Kurt's wife go to a little resort, where Dennis can eat what he wants and can tell Kurt's wife all about her husband. When the meeting is over, he tells everything to Kurt who is really happy to hear something from home.

Later, Dennis and Jeroen have a discussion where Jeroen complains that he might be eliminated because he lost immunity. Dennis explains him that it is smart to vote for the strongest people because otherwise he will be eliminated. Jeroen takes something else from the conversation: because he thinks he will get the most votes, he thinks it is smart to vote for people who will get a lot of votes, so there will be more people in the elimination battle and his chances of being eliminated get smaller (why he doesn't just make an alliance, I don't know. It's probably his holier-than-thou attitude). Marcel and Kurt also discuss the voting. Marcel explains that he will try his best to keep Kurt in the game because Kurt has said he will never vote for him. He will cast his votes for people who may get the most votes, so Kurt will be saved.

At tribal council, everybody does what they have been doing all along (which kinda makes all the conversations useless) and vote for the people who have received votes. When these are revealed, it turns out that Esmeralda has 0, Marcel has 1 and Rita has 3. Kurt has 4 and Jeroen 6, so the two men will battle eachother in the elimination battle.

Since Jeroen had 6 votes, everybody voted for him. Other votes shown were Jeroen & Rita voting for Kurt. I think Marcel, Marina and Kurt voted for Rita, so Dennis & Esmeralda would be the other voters for Kurt and Jeroen voted for Marcel.

Survivor Samoa - Laura immuned & Kelly Voted Off (4 votes)

During this episode of Survivor, it basically starts off with Natalie killing a rat, and no, it wasn’t Shambo. Darn it. The Survivors ended up eating the rat, as we hear the famous Survivor phrase “This rat tastes like chicken” (Survivor Borneo flashback). Then, it was time for a reward challenge where they had to collect coloured coconuts on a pole and rearrange them into a sequence of numbers to have one person solve the combo. It was Dave, Monica, Kelly, Shambo, and John who won, They won a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to slide down a pile of rocks (a waterslide, made of rocks!) and eat chicken, massive sized donuts, and other food.

During this reward, the Survivors were all given their first immunity idol clue. Meanwhile, back at camp, Russell scrambled and scrambled around camp to find the idol, in which he assumed it was at camp. Sure enough, he fins the idol right under the bridge. Producers, please, just next time cut away with reward challenges and clues, just have them compete for an immunity idol by running around in circles at camp. That should cover fifteen minutes of my time once a week. Anyways, Russell shares the fact he found an idol to Shambo, where they easily talk about getting Laura out.

At the immunity challenge, the Survivors had to throw a hook at one of two bags and bring them to the end. The first three to finish will move on. It was Mick, Shambo, and Laura who moved on to round two where they had to use blocks to figure out a pattern on a board. Laura easily took charge of her fate in that challenge, and by talking to herself, she easily won. Laura may perhaps turn to be the female Ozzy, winning almost every immunity. That would be epic. Then, Shambo cries about the fact she can’t get rid of Laura, and she literally makes a desperate, sour face at her confessional.

So, the Survivor were all strategizing over who to get rid of. The former Galu tribe mates were all about sticking together, so they all agreed to vote for either Russell or Natalie, mainly Russell since he could easily have another idol. Russell is now unsure about what to do, play the idol and possibly see Natalie go, or not play, and possibly see him go. At Tribal Council, Russell ended up playing his idol, and was spared from the seven votes he did receive. It was ultimately Kelly who received the four votes, from the Foa-Foa four, and became the second person to join the jury.

I completely have so much respect for the Foa-Foa four, they are sticking together, unlike Galu’s Shambo who’s so worried about swapping sides to boot Laura it’s as if that’s all she cares about. In the game of Survivor, a tribe that sticks together goes the furthest. United We stand, divided we fall simple applies to Survivor very well. In thee past, we see that tribe who have stuck together (Tagi, Boran, Chauy Gahn, Chapera, Koror, Casaya, Aitu, Moto, Jalapao) lasted out to become the finals in the finale. Laura is about the one from Galu I like, the rest are just there, and then there’s Shambo. Next week, we’ll see all ten of them scrambling find that idol. That should be fun. Also, I want to see lots or just one comment, I really like getting them. Who are you all rooting for?

LLNMD List:
Love: Laura, Russell, Mick, Natalie
Like: Jaison, John, Monica
Neutral: Dave, Brett,

Dislike: Shambo.

BB 5 Finland: Kätlins back

Hello. :D

Read some comments from recent posts and some of u wanted to know how Kätlin is doing. well, she's fine, she misses all of her PBB friends a lot.
Yeah, i know, Kätlin have been back allready sence Saturday, but... im writing about it now.

Kältin arrived back to Finland at night. I think it was like 2 a.m. finnish time. When she entered the song Sininen ja Valkoinen played (the song Cathy was tought while in BBF), all the housemates were so exited for her to come back. Here is a couple pics, sadly, not that many.
Anyway, she told everything shes been doing at the PBB house, her housemates and all the differences that the houses have. What i've noticed is that PBB is nicer than BBF. BBF dosent talk that much. :(
The housemates saw a couple of videos from Kätlins time at the PBB and i noticed that some of the housemates were a little jellous, the trio (sami, aso and toni) for exemple. they have been trying to have some "action" with Kätlin the hole season, whitout any results, and Kätlin is at the PBB house for a week and is making out with Hermes. :D hahah.
but still, i doubt that no one would trade the week they had with anyone. the BBF housemates all "fell in love" with Cathy. And Kätlin "fell in love" with PBB.

btw, if u wanna see all the free videos BBF is posting, u can watch them all here. I've been using these in my postes. :) have fun.
Some finnsih vocabulary:
Ilmaisvideot - Free videos
Haastattelut - Interviews
Talk Show & Extra - well, its the same. :D

need help? just ask, i'm trying to answer as soon as i can

and btw. love ur comments. thanks. <3

one more thing. hows Cathy ??

TARUS15 - Flight Time/Big Easy in 1st & Matt/Gary Last

In this episode, the teams had to make their way to Tivoli Grund Lond where they had to have one teammate ride the tallest ride to spot an arrow pointing them to their next clue. In their next clue, they had to play a theme park style ring game where they had to discover a Travelocity gnome. Then, teams had to pick one of two detours: Nobel Dynamite (blow up ground to uncover their next clue) or Viking Alphabet (Decode a message of the Viking alphabet). In the final task, teams had the roadblock where one teammate had to search for a red-yellow ribbon in order to check in to the pit stop, which was the same farm, Bogs Gard farm.

1st - Flight Time/Big Easy - They were the team who were pretty much lucky to et first, simple because while they started the race in the first flight, they couldn’t make the first train, putting them fifteen minutes behind. They easily caught up at the roadblock, easily passing Meghan/Cheyne. They lucked out, as one of them was the first to find the ribbon in the hay stack, claiming first place right on one of their birthday’s. They seem to have gotten lucky, as all of the teams were pretty much bunched up on the roadblock. I believe tat being on the first flight, putting Ericka/Brain & Gary/Mat behind got them first place. They ar, however, always getting along, making the race into some fun, and perhaps comical, and are a good team. They move up in my opinion.

2nd - Meghan/Cheyne - They were starting the race off well, getting on the first flight and the first train with only Sam/Dan on their heels. At the detour, they failed to listen together, which put them in the middle of the pack, as Meghan’s idea to do one bag of soil at a time was not really a good idea. At the roadblock, in which Meghan, who was the only woman pulling those strong, heavy hay stacks struggled to get a grip on the task, and easily freaked out a lot. However she was the second person to find the ribbon and Meghan/Cheyne became team number two. Cheyne comments on how Meghan pulled the weight in this episode, which easily shows to me that he’s easily willing to share the contributions the race is about. Other’s were practically carried to each pit stop.

3rd - Brian/Ericka - They were stuck with choosing a flight that was approx 90 minutes behind, with Gary/Matt on their tail. However, they took an easy fourth when Gary/Matt didn’t catch the train. They did well and maintained to stay out of last place at the route info and the detour. They caught up to Sam/Dan & Meghan/Cheyne at the roadblock, where Brain found the ribbon third, and Brian/Ericka became team number three. So, we know Brian does well on roadblocks, and I’m glad he did this one; otherwise we’d see Ericka freak out for sure. They ran a batter leg, and managed to stay out of last the entire time. I still like them, and I really see them in the final three.

4th - Sam/Dan - Sam/Dan pretty much ran this leg with most of the time leading everyone. They got on the first flight, got on the first train, and finished the route info and detour first before anyone else did. However, Sam struggled and ran out of luck trying to compete in the roadblock. Sam/Dan were constantly yelling at each other non-stop during the whole roadblock, which got them on each other’s nerves. Sam/Dan managed to beat out Gary/Matt and they checked into the pit stop as team number four. Sam/Dan are starting to really make me feel uncomfortable every time I watch them. I also don’t get their rivalry with the Globetrotters, I mean, saying stuff like “Did your fans help you get here?” is kind of pointless to say, if you ask me.

5th - Gary/Matt - They were placed on the last flight with Brian/Ericka, and missed the train, putting them down fifteen minutes and putting them into last pretty much the entire leg. They didn’t seem to be too well on navigating themselves from place to place, which would’ve put them further behind. They did okay on the detour, but were still behind Brain/Ericka the entire time. Gary was the last to find the red and yellow ribbon and Gary/Mat checked in to the pit stop a last place. However, they were spared from elimination and were to compete in the next leg with a speed bump. I really feel that luck wasn’t on their side, and I still feel they have an equal shot to race well against the others.

BB 5 Finland: "the past" part 3

Hola amigos!

so, as i said before, im going to stick to the basic here, then, later on, i can get more in to detal. or u can ask what u want to know. thats more fun! :D

Week 7: this week big brother decided to get things more exiting, so, for the slums weekly task, he had them to do a so called "secret task" (right translation from finnish, dont know what u call this things in ur countries, but anyway...). the paradise thought that the slums would to a lumberjack task and they basicly had to work without food or wather. this wasent tru. what the paradise didint know was that the slums would acctually have plenty of food, they didnt have to work as lumberjacks, just pretend, and they got like alcohol and stuff during the day. the real task was to convinse someone from the paradise side to give the slums something from their side, like food. (notice! its stricktly forbidden to give anything to the otherside)
after a kind of fun week, the slums did successfully earn their right to vote, all thanks to Esa A, how gave food to the other side.
found a couple videos from the week, in the first video the slums just got to know their real task, the second video is when Esa A gives Sampo food. as usual there is also some pics u guys can look at.
As the HH (u who dosent know what HH meens, its Head Of The House) competition the housemates had to see who could run the longest, and Sami won the competition.
Up for elemination this week was Marko and Justiina. At the end of the week there were only three girls left as Justiina was evicted.

Week 8: This week Big brother gave the slums some "smaller" tasks, they had to guess the right time, entertain a dog for a evening and play a paintball game agains the paradise.
the slums succesfully won the paintball game and as for the price the sides would change, u know, the onces who had been on the slum side would no go to the paradise side and the other way around. The new slums got the right to vote. hurray.
Sami won the HH competition again after he trhow the most basketballs in the basket.
After he won the competition he had to choose one person who would be up for elemination, he chose Esa A.
Up for elemination this week was Minna, Marko, Sampo (up for elemination after breaking the rulses) and Esa A.
That Sunday Minna left the house.
Four new people entered the house that sunday night, Saranna, Iida, Antti and Stephania.

Week 9: the three slums, Kätlin, Dana and Esa A, was up for a week full of secrets. becides the normal tasks the slums had to do some task that the paradise wouldnt know of.
The slums had to steal on item from each room in the house, without beeing cought. Esa A was the smart on here and told everyone from the paradise to come out on the yard, under that time Dana stole a item of some kind from the bedroom successfully. The next two items were stolen at night.
The slums had to
throw a party without anyone from the paradise knowing. Then they had to go to the Sauna and the jacuzzi on the paradise side. That they did yet again at night.
Under the next day the slums had to put the stolen items back AND steal them again. At first it looked like impossible task but thanks to Esa A:s clever sceam, he told Sami, Toni and Aso that they, the guys, got a secret task and they should get everyone together and then talk about something that would get someone to use the words bomb, dream and sex, the guys successfully got everyone outside and completed the "task". At the same time the slums put the stuff back. When they had to steal the items back Esa A told Sami, Toni and Aso that they had to use the same words again. The guys had a pageant and got someone to use the words if i remember correctly. Durring the pageant the slums stol the items back.
The slums got their right to vote, but when Esa A later told Sami, Aso and Toni that there was no secret tasks for the trio they were quite pissed off. hahah.
At the
HH competition they housemates had to eat some bulls penis and a pig eye. Stephania won the competition.
Up for elemination was Sami, Aso, Toni (the guys took someone elses drinks at a party, thats forbidden), Marko and Sampo.
The third guy to be voted out was Marko.

There u go, three more weeks. :)

Under the links there is eather a video or some pics.

Enjoy

Survivor Samoa - Erik Voted Off (10-2)

During the episode of Survivor, Foa-Foa talks about their constant losing and constant hope of a merge. This is where Russell talks about being on a tribe full of dummies, saying he’s got everyone played. If Russell is so much smarter, than can’t he just use his wisdom to have helped his tribe win? I mean, Galu can’t be the dumb ones, they always kept winning, whereas Foa-Foa with just two wins, makes them the tribe with the lowest wins (reward or immunity) in the history of Survivor, given Ulong won three challenges, and Survivor Fiji’s Rich/Poor twist makes Ravu/Moto an exception. Anyways, at the Galu tribe, Shambo is talking about the missing canteen, and also talking about Laura, not liking her. Laura goes ahead and counts the canteens, in which I saw Laura just double checking. Shambo’s ego got dented, and she goes off on Laura, and they argue about the canteens, which turned into Shambo talking to Laura about Laura, Monica, and Kelly being some kind of 90210 clique.

Next, the Galu tribe members and the Foa-Foa tribe members were given tree mail, in which they met on a beach where once again, Jeff Probst was absent, so the Survivors opening the chest full of new blue buffs and paints. They officially merged into one tribe. Brett named the tribe Aiga, or Samoan for “extended family”. Hey, Aiga is fine with me, it’s better than getting “Dabu” or “Aitutanga”. They were to all live on the former Galu beach. This is where Russell goes around the camp, and “planting seeds” as he calls it, of complete bull crap telling people he’ll give them the idol if he can get him to final seven. He goes to Laura, but smart, wise, Laura with common sense doesn‘t buy Russell‘s bull crap. So, he goes to Monica, and she simply doesn‘t buy it either. He goes to Shambo, and Shambo once again talks about not liking Laura. So, Russell tells Shambo that he’ll take Laura out. She agrees. Russell goes to John, who also buys the plan. Russell says something unusual, saying that someone is smart, that being John.

Then, it was time for the immunity challenge. I was eagerly expecting some kind of will-power endurance immunity challenge. Instead we get T-Ball, which is a game they teach kindergarteners how to play. The one who hit the ball into a place to score points. The man and woman with the highest score would be the eventual winner. For the men, it was John who won, which was completely fabulous, since it meant Russell didn’t win, and had to settle for second. For the ladies, it was clearly Laura who won. Honestly, did she even have to worry about not winning that one? This meant that Russell’s and Shambo’s plan to take Laura out were foiled. Yay for me! So, back at camp, there had to be a new plan. John begins talking to people about voting for Monica, saying that Laura/Monica are still a dangerous duo. Then, the formerly Foa-Foa members want to take Erik out, especially Jaison, who says he never liked him. However, Erik and the Galu guys decide it should be Russell who should feel vulnerable enough to play his idol, and they vote for Jaison.

So, at tribal council, Erik was stating his peace about wanting to keep Galu together, and easily picking off the rest of Foa-Foa. Jaison easily got arrogant, saying he’s had to prove himself in real life in order to get something. Well, you haven’t proven yourself in Survivor, and your reality tv life, that’s simply why you’re on a tribe with four verses eight. Jaison begins to really tick me off by saying “Look at my resume!” I mean, what’s that got to do with Survivor? So, it was time to vote, and after the voting was complete, Russell played his idol, securing he’d be safe from the vote. Erik chose to not play his idol. When the votes came out, Foa-Foa’s former tribe mates had their way and the Galu 90210 clique of Laura, Monica, and Kelly sided with them, in which the Galu guys couldn’t do anything else after that. So, with ten votes, Erik was voted off. Only Shambo prevented the unanimous vote.

This episode was very crazy, I mean it went from Foa-Foa being a target, to Laura being a target, to Monica being the target, to Erik being the target and eventually booted. Foa-Foa is easily ripping up the Galu tribe, and doing a very good job of it, thanks to not Russell being so great, but for John being the idiot who thinks he can get Monica out. I really don’t want to see the Foa-Foanese tribe members rip through Galu, I favour Galu simple because I think they have more potential, because they have the numbers, and can easily stop listening and pick up the pieces and get especially Russell and Jaison out. Shambo is still making me very irritated because she’s so worried about Laura she can’t find her own place in the game, and she can’t even vote for Erik even though Erik was playing her, despite the Galu guys voted for Erik. Why is Shambo playing this game?

LLNMD List:
Love: Laura
Like: Monica, Kelly, Mick
Neutral: Brett, Dave, Natalie
Meh: John
Dislike: Jaison, Russell, Shambo.

TARUS15 - Sam/Dan in 1st & Maria/Tiffany Eliminated

In this episode of TAR, the teams had to first make their way to the Martinitoren where in this roadblock, one team member had to count the bells of the tower and correctly say their answer to the piano player, who’ll hand them their next clue. Then, teams had to make their way to De Marne where in this detour, teams must ride bikes and either do Farmer’s dance and learn a dance routine or Farmer’s Golf. Then, they had to ride their bikes to the pit stop, De Marne Harbour.

Sam/Dan - They pretty much were running a solid leg of the race. With the help of another team in the roadblock, while also helping Tiffany later, it was them and Meghan/Cheyne who moved into the front of the pack. They excelled through the golf detour, which put them ahead of the pack and they came into first place, Male/Female Dutch clothes and all.

Meghan/Cheyne - They are once again running a solid race. The only thing was Meghan didn’t know how to play golf, which, put them behind Sam/Dan, as Cheyne claims he couldn’t do the dance detour either. They are simply good racers, but not doing much else to be more remembered. Meghan seems to freak out on detours, where Ericka freaks out on Roadblock (explained later) so Cheyne seems to be holding her up, or, at least that’s what it looks like.

Flight Time/Big Easy - They were the fifth to finish the roadblock, but I must say, did better than the suitcase roadblock. They caught up and passed the other two teams ahead (Maria/Tiffany, Gary/Matt) as they danced their way to the team number three position. They ran a better leg, and everything really says they are the team to beat, simply because they’re the athletes.

Gary/Matt - These guys ran a decent leg, but not as fast as the top three teams, and I believe they could’ve had top three, maybe top two, if they chose the golf detour first, and never considered the dance detour. I see some race potential for them. They might get to the final here, but since this has been a pretty predictable race, I really don’t know for sure.

Brian/Ericka - They really screwed up, and got very lucky that Maria/Tiffany screwed up more, which, I’m thankful. Ericka struggled to count the bells on the tower and freaked out, nearly psyching herself out. Then, once they arrived at the pit stop, they received a 30-minute penalty for not riding the bikes during the detour. They were spared, since maria/Tiffany didn’t show up yet. I’m really sorry they had a bad leg, and am glad they’re still in the race, and want them to continue on to become the winners.

Tiffany/Maria - Just like in the poker world, if you can’t win, you fold, and that’s what they did. They were given the answer by Dan/Sam, so they had no choice but to continue onto the detour. The detour, however, got them screwed badly. They couldn’t hit the high striker (from the dance detour) after trying over 100 times. They finally fell apart on the gold detour, and gave up the task. Phil came to the detour set to inform them they have been eliminated.

Up next week, we have the hardest and most infamous luck-and-keen-eye task where they’ll have to find a clue among hundreds of haystacks. We see that Sam/Dan & Meghan/Cheyne were most frustrated with this, so I will be assuming they will be having the most difficult time with the next roadblock. I remember in TAR6, the season with Freddy/Kendra (<3), one teams spent several hours on that detour. I wonder if that will happen, or if these teams throw us off and ironically finish early.

As for who I want to see in the final three, well, I’ll say Brian/Ericka, just because they are my favourites, so I obviously want them to win. I would also like to see Gary/Matt get there, because they are really a good example of what the Amazing Race is all about, strengthening relationships, and plus they are really easy to like. Third, I’m going to have to say Meghan/Cheyne, simple because they deserve to be there, since they’ve done so well so far. However, these five teams are all about even to getting to the final three, and I suppose anything could happen.

LLNMD List:
Love: Brian/Ericka, Gary/Matt
Like: Meghan/Cheyne, Sam/Dan
Neutral: Flight Time/Big Easy
Meh:
Dislike:

All of these are just so good at running solid legs, and all of the remaining teams have ran the race with at least half way solidly, It’s almost too hard to predict who will win, and who will be next. It’s strictly going to depend on what’s in store for the next upcoming legs.

Expeditie Robinson 2009 Netherlands/Belgium: Episode 10

Blog Post by Arthur

Episode 10

At the previous tribal council, Kurt, Igor and Marjolein received the most votes. Kurt doesn't understand this at all and blames Dennis & Esmeralda. They are the cooks at the camp and he is sure those two do more than just cook. Marjolein understands why she got the most votes and doesn't really mind: if she has to go, she has to go. Before the elimination battle, Igor goes meditating to prepare his mind for the challenge. When the challenge begins (build a tower of cubes, the person who makes this tower collapse is eliminated), he is not nervous at all. Nevertheless, it's Igor who loses after Marjolein does a tactical move and places a cube in a manner which makes it very difficult to place a new cube on top of it. Igor is disappointed that he has to go. He says he won't miss the people, but will miss the island.

The candidates get a letter which states that on top of the hill on the island, there are six flags. The six people to grab a flag can take part in the immunity challenge. The seventh person has to stay behind with Marina on the island. Marjolein immediately runs away and is followed by the other people. It's Rita who is the slowest one because she is not wearing shoes and cannot run through the jungle. When Marjolein, Kurt, Marcel, Jeroen, Esmeralda and Dennis have grabbed their flags, Dennis and Esmeralda complain once again. This time about Marjolein, who is lazy around camp but suddenly had the strength to climb up the mountain.

For the immunity challenge, the six who grabbed a flag are divided in two teams: Kurt, Jeroen and Dennis on one team and Esmeralda, Marjolein and Marcel in the other team. The challenge consists of three parts: a strength part, a puzzle and an individual part, where the winning team compete for individual immunity. The three men easily beat the two woman and oldest man in the strength part, but the women and Marcel are much stronger in the puzzle and continue with the individual part. Here Marjolein takes an early lead, but it's Esmeralda who beats her and wins individual immunity.

It's not just immunity that Esmeralda wins: the hosts have got letters from home. Esmeralda gets her letter and can select two other people to get a letter. The letters of the people she doesn't choose will be burnt for everyone to see. Esmeralda picks her friend Dennis and Marina, because she cannot take part in the challenges. Marjolein, Kurt, Marcel and Jeroen have to watch how the letters, drawings and photo's their family, children and friends send them are burnt.

Back at camp, there are the usual tears because of the letters and complaints about the work Marjolein isn't doing. Right before the team goes to the tribal council, Esmeralda confronts Marjolein with the complaints. Marjolein bursts out in tears when she says she doesn't understand why she is strong in the challenges but weak around camp. She tells Esmeralda that she is really doing all she can, but her body isn't strong enough. This touches Esmeralda who feels sorry for Marjolein and decides not to vote for her at tribal council. That doesn't matter, as all other people vote for Marjolein and she gets the most votes. The second person with the most votes is Rita, the other weak person around camp. Right before the voting, Jeroen and Kurt told the hosts that they want to make the finals with the strongest people, so the weakest people get voted out. While the other candidates leave, Marjolein and Rita stay behind to take part in the elimination battle.

As for the full voting results, it probably went like this:
Dennis = Marjolein & Rita
Esmeralda = Kurt & Jeroen
Jeroen = Marjolein & Rita
Kurt = Marjolein & Rita
Marcel = Jeroen & Marjolein
Marina = Jeroen & Marjolein
Marjolein = Kurt & Rita
Rita = Kurt & Marjolein
Not too sure, as it seems unlikely that Dennis would vote for the two weakest girls as he voted for the strongest men before, but since he was attacked for voting for the stronger men, he might have changed his strategy. The votes for Kurt are most unclear because he is hardly in the show and we don't know for sure who likes/dislikes him.

Episode 9

At tribal council, Simone and Jeroen received the most votes. This means they will compete in a battle and the loser of the battle will leave the game. Since the battle will take place the day after tribal council, Jeroen and Simone get to spend a few more hours with their team. During these hours, Jeroen asks Dennis why he voted for him. Dennis says he thought there was an alliance between Jeroen and Simone, which Jeroen denies. He doesn't stay mad with the team, soon he is friends with everybody again. Simone is less happy: she warns everybody for Dennis & Esmeralda, according to her, they are the people they have to watch out for.

The next day, Simone and Jeroen battle in a challenge. For the challenge, they have to put cubes on top of each other until the tower of cubes collapses. The person who makes the tower collapse, has to leave the show. The unlucky one is Simone, so for the eleventh time in a row, a women leaves the game.

After Jeroen returns to camp, the candidates compete in an immunity challenge. This is a wrestling match: the men have to wrestle on a little platform and the women on another platform. The task it to push the members of the same sex of the platform and swim to a central platform, to grab the immunity necklace. The fastest person wins. The battle between the men is a short one, after all men push Igor of the platform, Jeroen manages to push the other men off. At the women platform, Rita is the first one to be pushed off. Esmeralda and Marjolein battle each other for a long time, but since Jeroen has already pushed all men off, he can swim to the immunity necklace and wins. Besides the immunity, he also wins a trip to the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lampur. He can take one women with him and chooses Rita.

In Kuala Lumpur, Rita and Jeroen have the time of their lives. They can eat and drink what they want, can wash themselves and see themselves in a mirror for the first time in a very long time. Rita is shocked when she sees herself, she has lost a lot of weight.

The other candidates, who stayed behind on the island, discuss the next voting. Igor and Marjolein know they will vote for each other in hopes of not being the one who gets the most votes. Dennis and Esmeralda also discuss the voting. Dennis complains that Marjolein doesn't do any work and wants to vote for her. In the meantime, Marcel and Kurt manage to catch a goanna. Earlier, Marcel caught a little shark, so the team has enough to eat.

After Jeroen and Rita returned from Kuala Lumpur (in new clothing), the team goes to tribal council. There, Marina complains about her place in the final. She cannot compete in the challenges and says the show is a little bit boring for her because there is no excitement for her. Kurt tells the other candidates that he does not want to make alliances and Marcel says he plans on winning the game by making friends with the other candidates. After this, the votes are cast. Marcel votes for Dennis because he thinks he is too friendly with the other candidates, Esmeralda votes for Kurt because she doesn't trust him, Marjolein votes for Igor because he is an outcast and Jeroen votes for Marjolein because she does the least work around camp.

When the votes are counted, it turns out that Marcel and Esmeralda have no votes, Dennis has one, Rita has three, Kurt and Marjolein have four and Igor has six. This means that Kurt, Marjolein and Igor will compete in a battle and the loser will have to leave the show.

BB 5 Finland: "the past" part 2

Sooo... i should probably tell u some more about whats been happening in the house. yes.

where was we? week four i think.

Week 4: for this week the slums had to learn how to play American Football. the housemates had a very hard week with a lot of training. on wednesday they had to show what they had learnd and played against a small group of proffessional am.football players. in the end, the slums earned the right to vote.
as u all know big brother like to punishs people when the rules arent followed. so this time, becouse the slums had been playing a game, similar to chess, with paradise the slums had to give up all their mattresses and some of their food. no one was pleased about that.
later that week three of the slums (Sami, Minna and Aso) had to stay up all night, as a part of the punnishment.
for this weeks HH competition the housemates had a trivia that Sampo won. hurray for sampo. when u win the HH cometition u get the privledge of not beeing a part of the elemination and u get a lot of other fun stuff, for exemple, Sampo wanted to have a party, Sampo got a party
but, as HH u also have to choose who is living in the slums and who's staying in pardise.
This time he put Tuija, Justiina and Esa A in slums and Dana, Kätlin and Sami back to paradise. (esa was pleased but Tuija didnt like it at all, she complaned the hole time she was in the slums)
Up for elemination was Tuija, Lotta, Kätlin and Nino. On Sunday, both Lotta and Tuija left the house.
Later that evening two new housemates entered the house, Marko and Toni.

Week 5: week five started yet again for the slums with a task, they had to fill a tank with water, but, the tank had holes, so water was running out all the time. what complicated the task even more what that a mystic black dressed man came and drilled more holes in the tank all the time.
the next task is for me quite complicated to explain, i think pics tell u more, but anyway, as u know the slums dosent have much food, so now the could get more in this competition. ive found a video video too, its short but...
The HH competitions this week was to carry boxes trough a track. anyway, yet again, the winner was Sampo. this week he had to arrange paradise and slums so that there would be only four people in the slum, he couldnt choose him self, Toni or Marko (dont know why, maybe becouse they were new housemates). soo, he chose Kätlin, Esa A, Sami and Justiina.
for this weeks elemination was Kätlin and Ragnar. On sunday, Ragnar was the fist male to leave the house.

Week 6: Big brother started the week with a punnishment for breaking rules, Sampo had to put Esa J to the slum and take Esa A back to paradise (Esa A didnt like the idea at all, he enjoyed beeing in the slum, Esa J protested, he didint want to be in the slum.)
the slums had a recycling task. they had to take apart some electonic apparatuses. some of the time the slums had to recycle at night, wihich didint make anyone happy, but, u got to do what u got to do. at the end of the week, the slums got the right to vote.
That week Nino had to leave the house becouse he "harrased" Sampo sexualy. No one saw that comming becouse it had all been a joke (what nino did). Sampo took all very hard.
Up for elemination this week was Esa J, Sampo, Marko, Kätlin and Esa A. The sixth housemate who had to leave the house was Esa J

when i was writing this, i noticed that i havent told u guy about the housemates, like relationships and stuff, u know. so i was thinking of writing a post about it in the future. :)

BB 5 Finland: Cathys arrival evening

Hello u guys.

i'm so exited about the swap. Kätlin is in the Philippines and Cathy is here, in our cold Finland. haha. :) so... apparently Kätlin is settling in the PBB house just fine, what i've heard she already have some kind of a crush on Hermes or he have on her, i wasn't sure. but anyway, so exiting.

Cathy was welcomed to the finnish big brother house with open arms, some more exited than others. I think the biggest problem is the language wall. we finns aren't famous for our skills in English. Happily, some of the housemates can speak english quite well, like Esa A or Stephania.

On the evening of Cathys arrival the housemates had a welcoming party. Cathy tried the Sauna for the first time and I think she really loved it. As usual the housemates played spin the bottle in the jacuzzi and during the game Sampo and Aso kissed each other (for those who wonders, yes, both are males)as a part of the game. Cathy was slightly shocked by that because she had never seen two males kiss each other, thats not that unusual in the Finnish BB house just because there has been quite a few gay people. but anyway. haha. ;)
then of course Sami and Saranna had something going on under the quilt (u know what i mean ;) ) and because the finnsih bb house only have on huge bed, everyone who wanted could watch, including Cathy, soo. She got a great first impression of the finns.
gladly she later told in the confession room that she thinks we are great people just because we are so open minded and doesn't care what others think about us. haha. great!!

U can see the party pics here (yet again, the text is in finnish and if u have problems, tell me!! :D )

soo. like a mentioned before. im happy to answer any questions that have to do with the finnish bb.
